2011 Litter One

Bear gave birth to 10 little pups on June 1st, delivered C-section, scheduled due to the number of little one's they saw on her May 25 x-ray.  They have a higher rate of healthy pups when they do this for large and very small litters.  Bear did well, as did all of the pups, and we were on our way home by 1 pm the same day. 

Her arrival

I picked up Flair, or Bear as I prefer to call her, at Leader Dogs for the Blind on May 6, 2010.  She was 8 months old at the time, and it was love at first sight.  The day after she came to live with us, she traveled to Canada, to our cottage.  She loved the cottage as there is so much to do, smell and see there.  She also met Claudia, Grant and Kathy, all adoring fans of sweet pups.
